Biography
Growing up as a kid in Hauula, which is a small coastal community on the Northeast side of the Island of Oahu in Hawaii, I gained a strong affection for the ocean and the surrounding mountains. I spent every second I could in the water, hiking to waterfalls in the nearby mountains and camping with my friends at the beach or near the river streams. Here we would eat off of the land and just enjoy all that nature has to offer. To us this was a “normal” way of life. It wasn’t until years later, as an adult, that I realized just how blessed we were.
I was the second to the youngest in a family of 5 boys and a single Mother who had such an immense love for us yet still had room to spread love to everyone in the community. Her positive example instilled a great appreciation and respect for family, friends and life in general.
As a teenager I moved to Ka’u on the Big Island of Hawaii to live with my Father where I went to Ka’u High School and met some of the most amazing people this world has to offer. Although I loved surfing, hiking and the loving people on the Big Island, I always considered Hauula my home. Therefore, I decided to move back to the Island of Oahu right after I graduated from high school in 1997 and started a long and eventful career in the hospitality industry as a bartender.
Growing up in paradise, I couldn’t help but notice my gorgeous surroundings. I spent many days trying to capture the beauty around me with my cell phone or any camera I could get my hands on. Ironically, it wasn’t until I moved to California in 2010 that I decided to take photography seriously and it was in San Diego, California all my friends would tell me that I had a great eye for composition and soon after got my first DSLR. After that, I was hooked and enrolled in college to further my knowledge of photography and digital editing then it was "down the rabbit hole" as they say. Since then, I have decided to specialize in real estate photography, business portraiture, family portraits and wedding and engagement photography.
If I were to sum up my experience and style of photography, it would be vibrant, colorful and pleasing to the eye. Through masterful use of camera gear and lighting, I have developed my own style and am able to capture people and scenery in a unique and beautiful way.

Artist Statement:
Combining my love for nature and architecture these images incorporate vibrant complementary colors where they can be seen in nature under natural conditions at their decisive moments. As a kid growing up in Hawaii enjoying the beautiful wonders of the wilderness both on land and the ocean it was only natural that I incorporate aspects of both in my imagery.
When viewing these photos it’s clear to see that I’m passionate about the process that allows the viewer to appreciate the beauty our world has to offer in a light not always seen in our day-to-day life as we all fall victim being “too” busy to enjoy the beauty of what’s outside. This project is an ongoing endeavor that is fluid and always evolving as interests, skills and technology advances allowing me to tell a story and evoke a feeling that a viewer is familiar with though not always able to experience.
